Annamalai (Prabhu) runs a hotel Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum in Malaysia and he has a college going young son Karthik (Kalidaas). Because of the era hole, Annamalai neglects to understand Karthik and at one of purpose of time, the last’s cruel words hurt his father. Bhuvanendran (Y Gee Mahendra), a family companion of theirs, advise with them to a holy person (Kamal Haasan), whose personality is kept as a puzzle all through the film. Following to the issues, the holy person swaps the souls of both Annamalai and Karthik. Presently the child is in father’s body and the other way around…
Of course, Prabhu has had influence well as the father while Kalidaas needs to enhance his acting performance, however, winds up giving an average acting. The cameo by Kamal Haasan promptly starts up the screen. Oorvasi, MS Bhaskar, and others do what is anticipated from them. A superior effort from Ashna Zaveri would have performed admirably.
Music director Imman after a spate of country movies, more likely to be satisfied that a Malaysia-based subject was at last offered to him… he even does a melody titled ‘Hello Putraja Poove’! capable yet shockingly, the situation is simply not sufficiently strong to warrant it. Different tunes are disappointing and the same can be said in regards to cinematography.
With a not really awful story line, the director has attempted his best to weave a fantasy story bound with funniness.
